Chicamocha National Park

Considered one of Colombia’s most important tourist sites because of the Santander culture, tradition and customs that still permeate this place. The view of the Chicamocha Canyon from the cable car is fascinating and the monuments you can see are among the most beautiful in the country.

Cerro El Santísimo

Set in Floridablanca, on a wooded hill, this park and viewing spot has a statue of Jesus that is almost 40 meters high. It offers spectacular views of the metropolitan area of Bucaramanga, from incredible sunsets to the city’s night lights.

Mesa de los Santos

There are various routes for the whole family to enjoy. The La Plazuela station, one of the entrances to the Chicamocha National Park, is where you can take the cable car. El Salto del Duende, a 280 m waterfall, perfect for admiring and taking in the view. You can also visit the Hacienda El Roble for a tour of the coffee farm. Enjoy the hike and a tasting session of this aromatic drink. The whole experience is spectacular and truly delicious.

Topocoro Reservoir

This sheet of water spans 7,000 hectares and provides the energy to drive the Isagen Hidrosogamoso hydroelectric power station. It was built at the foot of the Serranía de los Yariquíes park, a nature reserve that preserves the natural habitat of jaguars, wild cats and pumas, thereby developing the local ecotourism.

Páramo de Berlín

This mountain range is three hours from Bucaramanga. It encompasses an enormous natural area with almost 300 species of fauna, 457 varieties of flora and natural waterworks with 26 lakes that supply the towns and cities in the region.

Paragliding, Rapel

And if you’re a fan of paragliding, the best Colombian thermal winds gather at the south of the city, where you can have a go. The views from the mountains surrounding Bucaramanga are undoubtedly spectacular.
